Oh, how I love this time of year! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts next Thursday. I have shopped this sale for more than 5 years, and I still get just as excited to look through the preview. Here are some pieces I am eyeing.

People shop this sale in many ways: to grab Christmas gifts at a major discount, grab a new jacket or pair of boots for the upcoming autumn season, or stock up on beauty favorites. Personally, I always use the sale to rekindle my love for fashion and grab a few items while they’re on sale. The items change each year depending on the offerings/trends, but one constant I grab every year is new boots. Your girl LOVES a good pair of knee-high boots, and there is no better time to grab a pair when they’re at a discount, as boots are expensive.
This year, I feel they have an excellent selection of items. Some years are better than others, and I am impressed this year! Will I grab each item that is shown here? No, definitely not, as I don’t have the budget for that, but these are the pieces that I think are worth grabbing if you have a similar style to me. Here’s how I would pair these items together to give you an example.
It can be easy with this kind of sale to overspend, but I appreciate that Nordstrom shares the preview early, so you can make a wishlist of only the items you really think are worth adding to your wardrobe, skincare cupboard, or would make a great gift. Then, when you go to shop, you can go straight from that list and add to the cart. That way, you aren’t getting lost looking at all the items and just adding to the cart without really considering it.
This is how I recommend shopping the sale. Set a budget, take a good look through the preview, refer back to your own closet, and then make your wishlist of only* items you intend to buy. This is what I do each year to stay within my means but also enjoy the excitement of grabbing a few things for the upcoming season.
