Hello friends! Code Orange! Fall has arrived… at Anthropologie atleast. Unfortuately we still have quite some time for Fall to actually arrive weather wise. For some of you you’ll want to avert your eyes and say its TOO early to be thinking of Fall it’s the beginning of July and for others (me included) get giddy at the sight of autumn things starting to hit shelves. Now, for the *it’s too soon fall people* don’t you worry I won’t be decorating for quite some time, but I do like to pick out some decor items early. As most of you know retail is always ahead of the season and when the season is actually here most items are already sold out. They do this to create urgency and to encourage purchases but that isn’t why I am sharing this with you. I think time is a gift and you can be slow and be extra selective with what you want to bring into your home. That way you can intentionally spend.
I also decorate for Autumn and not halloween that way I can keep up my decor for much longer. This is why I selcted harvest themed decor items in this post and not halloween ones. I love the autumnal colors, scents, and coziness that harvest decor brings. I am not much into anything spooky but there are also many of those items on Anthro’s site as well! Are you more into autumn harvest decor or do you like to decorate things with a spooky touch?
I am an autumn girl through and through and cannot wait for the upcoming Fall season. That said, I am trying to be present in our current summer season and doing what I can to enjoy it. What are some of your favorite ways to enjoy Summer? I always love hearing suggestions!
